The ladder of reality

The ladder of reality exists and it is the foundation of all that we do and all that we experience  and all that we base our laws on. I make the claim of understanding the secrets that I will reveal plainly. Miss a step and you may misunderstand my attempt to explain the levels of reality.

These levels are:

1. The elemental  level. Its highest form is DNA and its eventual control, the brain.

2. The level of mind, the level of meaning.

3. The level of spirit, the recognizer of I AM.

4. The level of being, the I AM.

1. The elemental level, DNA and the human brain.

To explain this first level of reality, I use the human brain as a central focus.

The brain can be understood as having two main sections. The first is deterministic and the second is not. The main control of the beating heart is deterministic. If you need more oxygen and nutrients, your heart will beat faster, you dont need to think about it, it's built in. Its very difficult to bypass this control.

Next is the non-deterministic section, the artificial intelligence side.

These two sections of the brain exist in several levels:

1. The on/off world, logic, deterministic.

2. The simple analog or range world, 0 to 100% proportional reactions, deterministic.

3. The accumulation of multiple analog ranges, the artificial intelligence world.

 A philosophical explanation pause.

Before explaining the levels of reality, I need to preface this writing with a few thoughts.

If I am to have any hope of explaining the nature of our inner lives then I must preface my own thoughts with an explanation of some underlying concepts of why we believe the way we do.

I am asking you to walk in my shoes for a mile, that is, to trust me for a while. I live with my family in a normal home. I am not searching, nor do I want,  any undue recognition. I am not wealthy, yet I'm retired with a pension that will keep me from being homeless for the rest of my life, that is, unless, the society crumbles. If my computer programs make monies beyond my needs and simple wants, those monies will go to benefiting society and not into making my life any glorious than what it already is.

Walk with me for a mental mile in my shoes.

Make your decisions after you have read the entirety of this tome. You can then make your judgement of whether my explanations are colored or biased by some need for approval of other hidden agendas. My need is simple, I have grasped the nature of this life and it is my compassion of my fellow humans that lie at the foundation of this explanation.

For some of us, it is our lack of understanding of this ladder of being that causes us to falter in the way we apply our personal lives to our environment and to the people we interact with on a daily basis. That includes everyone from children to adults, from families to pastors and politicians.

Comprehending this ladder will uncover the secret behind why we claim to be created equal, when in fact, when it comes to the human body, it's obvious we each have our own physical strengths and weaknesses or problems based on the DNA we were born with. There are higher levels than DNA.

I learned that lesson working alongside mentally challenged inmates at Fairview Developmental Center. In the past, we called them retarded people. They are not born physically equal. Some of them simply lack even the basic functions that distinguish us from animals. It's become obvious to science that our bodies are based on a kind of computer program that dictates with complete certainty some of those strenghts and weaknesses.

So if we are born physically unequal, then why make bold claims of equality?

This is not simply explained with a word or two yet it is understood at some higher level of thought by some of us. We make decisions based on a higher wisdom and sometimes without even being clear why we make them.

Understanding the ladder of reality is the secret that uncovers the real truth behind our decisions.  I can make this claim because I understand this ladder. I leave it up you to use as much power of reason to see if I strike any chord of truth. I know whereof I speak. I have come to these understandings as a human so I am assured that it us possible for you to get it.  This is not a patchwork of guesses, although, I won't hold it against you if you think so. If we accepted every new thought without skepticism, we'd still be in the goo of the past. It takes resistance to the new that will ensure that when we accept the new, then, we will resist going backward.

Reality is capacious. That means that you can understand more by taking steps in your life that will help you rise through and amplify these levels of reality. The truth is, reality is the real blood of our being. It is what gives us our recognition of being and our understanding of why we can see ourselves as equals no matter what our stations in life are.

Reality is earned. You must persevere in doing the right thing in your life if you are to climb into the recognition of your inner being.

Why is it some people claim levels of wisdom far beyond those of children or fellow friends. Why is it some older people see so clearly while others seem to languish in narrower levels of thinking. The motor that drives to higher levels of  reality ascent comes from a steadfast clinging to, first, the belief that truth, no matter how difficult, will set you free and then, to act on that truth to find the higher levels of your inner self. Sincere decision making creates the ardor by which the diamond of reality can form.

Back to 'The elemental level, DNA and the human brain'

1. The on/off or logic world

First we need a clear uunderstanding of the way the brain controls life. The first deterministic step is logic. It is the basic way of using the AND, OR and NOT ways of thinking.

Logical thinking is the lowest level of the brain, the on/off world of AND, OR and NOT. The results of these three ways are always on and off, or true or false.

To explain this first logic level, I use as simple an explanation as I can muster.

Ok here goes:  if the door is wide open and it is freezing outside, what are you going to do to protect yourself? To find comfort? Obviously,  you'll close the door. You may call this common sense. It's actually based on logical entities. At least, one of them. First it's cold outside 'AND' the door is open. AND, here, is the right logical entity to use. Why?

I use basic computer functions on a daily basis. I am an automation programmer. To automate a door within a computer, I use an AND block. I connect an outside temperature sensor to one connection leg of the AND block and the other leg to a switch that tells me whether the door is open or NOT. The output of the AND block will either turn the motor on or off. Both inputs to the AND block MUST be true for the motor to close the door. The temperature must be cold (true) on one input of the AND switch and the door MUST be open (true). Once the door is closed, one side of the switch goes false (off or false) and the motor stops closing the door. On an AND switch both inputs must be true (on) for the output to be true (on).

At this level of the ladder of reality, everything becomes true or false,  black or white, on or off, high or low, friend or enemy. You probably know someone in your life that thinks this way, you are friend or enemy, nothing in between.

The thing is, you use these functions every day and may be unaware of their method of funtion.

Your brain starts on the logic level and then climbs on through this first deterministic level through a bunch of AND, OR and NOT logical entities.

So now, were ready for the next deterministic  level. The analog level. The lower level of artificial intelligence. At this level, we proportionally react to the world around us.

I'll start to describe this level by using the analogy of getting out of a chair.

The decision to get out of a chair is based on the lower logical level of thinking. We either decide to get out of the chair or NOT. Yes or no, that is, true or false, on or off.

Our muscles cannot work on this logical level. If they did they would rip themselves from the bone. Most motors today are on and off jobs. They either go on 100% or they are completely off. The newer motors can control their speed by varying their frequencies. They ate called VFDs, variable frequency drives.  This is how the newer electric cars work. They can be controlled in a range between 0 and 100% thereby varying the speed of the car.

Our brains on this level work the same way, you will, first, decide to get out of the chair, thats a logical decision, then you will meter how strongly your muscles need to apply force to your bones to accomplish the rise to the level of erectness, you know, standing straight up. In the automation instrument industry the position of being straight up is called the set point. You inherently control your muscles proportionally to rise to this setpoint. Too much force and damage to the muscle connections can happen. So, depending on your 'RANGE' decision based thinking, you may rise slowly or rapidly.

Instead of on and off thinking based on AND, OR and NOT results, you propotionally act on a range between 0 and 100%.

Now if this is clear, then we take the next step into higher brain function. This 0 to 100% thinking can be applied to our every day life.

Instead of simple on/off sensors, most of the sensors of the human physical systems are range based, 0 to 100%. How bright,  how hot, how strong is the color,  what is the level of insulin in our blood stream, how fast is our heart beating? All these sensors exhibit in more than two logical ways. They range or meter from 0 to 100%, using both frequency and intensity. We take the sensor information in and then we bias how important the information is and then we connect neurons in our brain accordingly. We save that information as connections between the neuron cells in our brain. We save it all as patterns.

The brain reserves a place for each one if these types of sensors. The eye keeps its stuff in the eye area, the ears keep their stuff in the ear area and so on. If you haven't suffered too much trauma in your life, you have all these different parts of the brain communicating with each other and the 'NOW' of your being can be enlightened.

Artificial intelligence

Our next level uses multiple ranges or weights as artificial intelligence programmers call them. Weights given to each pattern is what dictates how we react and control our environment.

Artificial intelligence neural nets work this way. The sensors, or inputs, AI programmers call parameters. The proportion they react to each parameter determines the reaction on the output, these they call weights. In this way, using these brain engines, we can decipher the world around us from all the weights (importance levels) we give each input. Some of these are inherently built in from DNA and are not learned. If it's really hot to the touch, you will pull back your hand, all the rest are learned from the body input sensors and their weights applied to the neurons.

The way artificial intelligence programmers teach AI programs (models) is by testing validity matching . Programmers don't have the benefit of a mind within their computer so they rely on matching the result of the artificial intelligence engine to how valid this result is and this tells the engine it is closer to validity and will thereby weigh a range based input a little higher on its neurons.

An example of this would be the color of a face or the color of a wolf's hair. If the engine keeps seeing a wolf color on many of the color inputs to the engine neurons, it will weigh more heavily towards wolf and save that in those neurons. When querying the engine, if enough training has taken place by seeing thousands of wolves, it will gain accuracy in it's queries.  It, though, is directed in it's learning by a human brain and mind. It can't learn by itself. Either the goal or its accuracy is set by a human. A machine is unable to set end result goals using insight as a human does.

The level of Mind

Ok, so we are now ingringing on the mind level on the ladder of reality.

These next steps separates the believers from the non believers. Later as we learn that artificial intelligence cannot create a human, we will begin, as a society, to recognize there are higher levels to our being.

You are more than brain functions. You have mind. Mind has meaning, mind reasons at a much higher level than brain. Mind uses brain and then makes sense of the world. Mind is capable of understanding 3 dimensions. Mind has insight, mind can extrapolate from meager information. It is not physical. It is your mind that teaches the artificial intelligence that is your brain and that brain now can react to those teachings which have their origin in mind.

The artificial engine programmers set both the parameters and goals of the learning artificial engine. They use mind to do so. Both brain and artificial intelligence engines lack the ability to do do. It takes a level above brain to teach the brain what to learn. Call it the habits of your life,  if you will. These are taught by your mind.

It is mind that sets the course of your life, brain cannot do so. How your hands move have been taught a long time ago by you, by your mind. Your mind is the first step into being free internally. Mind is the action of your being, it isn't limited to just body or brain functions.

If you've stayed with me this long then we're ready to climb the ladder to the next level of reality. Spirit.

To understand spirit, I will need to explain the next two rungs of the ladder together. For each depends on the other for reality.

Spirit and Being.

At it's most basic level, spirit is the mirror of beingness, the I AM. If you recognize your I Amness,  then you have grown enough to exercise your spirit. Growth comes from sincere decision making. Without spirit,  you simply cannot survive past death.

Spirit equivilates to reality and reality (the level of spirit) is earned by doing the right thing in your every day life. The laws of the father of life are used as the basis of what is right or what is wrong. These laws are eventually synchronized with your every day existence. It is isn't the law of the land or the law written on paper that dictates your direction, it is the will of the father/creator that matters and that is the director.

There is a valid reason why doing the right thing in life grows your spirit and I will attempt in mere words to express why the search for truth and doing the right thing in your life works this way.

First, spirit expresses value. Spirit has recognition and awareness of being. Spirit is earned, it grows. The being or center of I Amness does not. You are unique, the I Am or core of your being doesn't change, it exists completely out of time and space. It is the reason you are a child of the father of life. The father shares his I Amness so that you can be. The core of this being we will call personality, not character or roles.

I use an example to explain the uniqueness of personality.

Suppose you had a friend when you were very young. George was his name. Now you're old and grayed. Not the same outward appearance of youth. Everything has changed. Your voice, skin color, height, mannerism and demeanor are completely different.

Lets say you haven't seen your friend for 60 years and one day you find yourself sitting next to him on a park bench. You strike up a conversation without realizing who he is. And when he says his name is George, you begin to connect with him. Then you realize who he is. At that moment you realize he is the George you once knew. At that moment,  you recognize his true uniqueness even though everything about him is changed. You might say to him, George, is that you in there?

You have the ability to understand George is not you and vice versa.

The Nature of Being

You are.

The recognition of I AMness is the most profound reality you will ever possess.

What follows is an intellectual explanation of the core of existence. By no means should it be a replacement for the feelings of love for the father of life, your real father. Knowledge cannot displace the true nature of the why of existence.

Reality recognition is not the cause of your existence. Before you can love another being, three internal causal relationships must come together. Walk with me and you will recognize, with a little effort, my meanderings into the nature of life and the clarity I've gained of my internal existence.

In descending order of importance, there are three basic causal relationships for existence are:

1. Being. The me inside of me. The core. The uniqueness of being that will always be you and this aspect of you will always be unique, that is, changeless, I will explain this later.

2. Spirit. The recognition of being, the mirror that gives the you the capacity to see the you inside. This is your spirit and it will grow in capacity as you accept the nature of existence, that is, as you make decisions that fit with the very nature of eternal existence.

3. Mind.  Thought manipulation and first level consciousness. The action of self.

Over the years I've found ways to explain these in terms that are a bit easier to comprehend for me. Also my spiritual capacity has grown from the times I've made the right decisions in my life. My clarity of these three basic concepts comes from wanting to find whether or not there was a father to life.

First beingness and it's uniqueness:

Being: Imagine yourself sitting in a beautiful park and someone sits down next to you and you strike up a conversation. Let's say this person is named George. As the conversation carries on you begin to recognize something about this person that strums a chord inside of you and you recognize this person as a childhood friend you were very close to when you were very young. Every thing about them has changed. Their hair, their posture, their skin, their voice, their strength. Almost everything has changed but one thing hasn't, the conceptual uniqueness of their being. You may even say something like: George, is that you in there?

There is an innate, organic ability for beings to recognize each other. At that moment you have the opportunity to fully realize, how unique you really are. More than that, you recognize that you will never be George and George will never be you. Not simply because of human bodies but the very nature of your unique beingness. You thereby prove to yourself the changelessness of the core of you. Stop and think about this.  Don't read on if you don't understand this basic concept. It took me a lifetime of study, surely, if you haven't grasped this reality then rereading is easier than a lifetime of study?

The elements of science cannot explain this recognition of the uniqueness of each I am, each being. Love is far more than creature need, it is the recognition of other than self and the core needs of this beingness.

The elements of physical life cannot explain nor cause the I AM inside you.

Is it true that science will prove, to many people, that existence is based on elements, that is, sensor input and manipulation of those inputs? Do these physical inputs really equate to beingness? Science purifies religion but it doesn't explain the I AM that makes up the core of your reality. An automaton cannot recognize itself as a being? The tail is not the dog, it's a tail after all and can be removed. Elements are the tail, not the dog.

You are unique and every single moment you experience is unique from the previous moment.

The very core of existence is based on a type of love that will take forever to express completely.

Ask yourself this basic question: If no one ever existed, and I really mean never, could life be? Your answer should be: Life is impossible without beingness, that is, I AMness. Without I AMness life cannot be. So it follows, being or I AMness is primary and thing, then, is secondary. There is no other conclusion. It's the proof that elements are a by product of I AMness. Elements, then, are a fabrication of the first great I AM, the father of life. He, then, is the repository of all that is.

Secondly, the spirit: Every decision that you make will clarify the mirror that is the spirit.  If you were the father of life and absolutely nothing existed except you and you had the capacity to create more than one I AM you would create children and also you would create places where all your children could exist.

There would be a huge amount of issues. The first most important one would be to make sure that the whole of creation would not decompose because of the ability of your children to make true, free will decisions. After all, free will is the proof that the father created more than one I AM. Free will can lead you down paths that are self destructive.

So you would need to create two atmospheres, first a perfect place where all experiences can be realized and expressed, Paradise. Secondly, a place where mistakes can be isolated so that your children could grow towards perfection, an imperfect place called time and space. You would create this second place on isolated spheres where one civilization would not disrupt the decision making processes of the other civilizations.

It is in this fashion that the father created eternity and it works.

So, this basic premise leads us back to understanding the spirit.

The decisions that you make grow and guide you, mistake by mistake, towards the center of all realities, Paradise. Without the ability to recognize value, which is the basic nature of spirit, you cannot recognize,  as yet, the splender that is the perfection of spiritual realities, Paradise. You must earn it.

The recognition of the values of life are what gives life meaning. Without the recognition of value, a life is barren, devoid of clarity, devoid of love. You can be very intelligent, yet if you have not earned values from the rightful decision making processes of your mind, you will not care how much destruction occurs as nothing will have any value. You can see this played out time after time with beings that have turned into animals using their self destructive forces.

By making sincere mental decisions, the spirit grows and becomes more aware of the self, the I AM inside. This same mind can also do the opposite, it can reject the life that the father has graciously provided and remove all value until they are internally empty of the reality of the value of selfhood and the value of selfhood of 'other than self' humans. In truth, these beings are already dead, the body is just waiting to be dissolved.

Spiritual reality,  then, is capacious. It is the foundation of the viewing of the self and therefore of the life around you, including other than self. Since thing is, in existence, secondary to being then the so called things around you are really the substance of the father and some of his children that have already reached perfection and can broadcast life to your mind.

When you reject the environment that was created for you then you dissappear until you're gone. After all, is there another father that has created a different place for you than the original father? If you don't fit in to this eternal place the father made for all of us then your actions would be destructive. There is only one creation, it may possess far more vastness than you can imagine at this stage yet it is still the creation that all the children of life can live in so it cannot be made to change its basic structure willy nilly.

For example: Imagine what would happen if the color red simply dissapeared. The color red is one of the basic creations of the father. If it vanished from existence, then creation would disentegrate very rapidly. Or did you think that red had its own existence? That the matter/energy spectrum existed in eternity without the need of a being supporting these concepts?

We creatures depend on our mind to be logical, reasonable. This thinking breaks down and ends at the borders of philosophy and true reality. The only way you can climb out of the realm of lower mind is with wisdom gained by making sincere decisions based on events that force you to compromise your animal nature.

One of the best ways you can learn how to sacrifice is by raising children. How could a loving father or mother hurt a child that is completely dependant on them? You are then guided, step by step into the value of life, the spirit.

What do you gain by owning the whole world if your value is missing? You have lost everything. So, in truth, every sacrifice you make gives you the real blood of life; the realities of spirit value.
